Research Highlights

(A) Integration of Genetic Data, Electronic Health Records, and Behavioral Environmental Exposures in Precision Health Research

Objective: Establish a Disease Gene Knowledge Database and develop a Disease Risk Assessment System (e.g., integrating the ‘Taiwan Precision Medicine Initiative ‘ and the ‘Taiwan Human Biobank’ with the ‘National Health Insurance Research Database’)

(B) Integration Research and Product Implementation of Smart Health and Precision Health

Objective: Combine medical imaging, medical records, and genetic data to develop artificial intelligence for automated organizational structure and lesion annotation. Establish an intelligent diagnosis and assessment system for disease classification and treatment response (e.g., medical imaging and pharmacological genomics research for Macular Degeneration and Alzheimer’s disease).

(C) The Application of Large Language Models in Smart Health

(D) Infectious Disease Virus Research

Objective: Conduct global virus big data analysis, track and understand virus variations, classifications, and evolution. Investigate the risk and causal relationship between host genes and disease susceptibility and severity (e.g., integrating the ‘UK Human Biobank’ and the ‘Global Influenza Data Sharing Initiative’ with ‘Our World in Data’).
